Privacy Policy
The Tooth Fairy Caught On Camera iOS app remains completely private: it has no accounts, analytics or tracking, and your photos, videos and child’s name never leave your device. The website separately collects limited information only when an adult chooses to request an email resource or join our mailing list.
The iOS app
The app contains no networking code and does not collect or transmit personal information. Photos and videos you take or select, your child’s name, and the fairy creations you save stay on your iPhone unless you choose to share them yourself. Deleting the app removes information stored in the app’s own local storage.
App permissions
- Camera — to take a photo or record a Tooth Fairy video.
- Photo Library — to select a photo and save finished creations.
- Motion and Orientation — to make a fairy move naturally while you record.
These permissions are used only for the feature described and only on your device.
The website and email subscriptions
Individual signature images and other free website resources can be used without creating an account. If you choose to receive the complete Tooth Fairy signature bundle by email and tick the consent box, we collect:
- your email address;
- your first name, if you choose to provide it;
- the date and time of your consent and the page it came from;
- a salted, one-way hash of your connection address for abuse prevention, rather than the raw address;
- request counts and whether the delivery email was sent successfully; and
- your subscription status, including when you unsubscribe.
How we use website information
We use this information to send the resource you requested, maintain the subscriber list you explicitly joined, send occasional Tooth Fairy ideas and related updates, prevent automated abuse, and honour unsubscribe requests. We rely on your consent for marketing email. The checkbox is not pre-selected, and you may continue downloading individual images without joining the list.
We do not sell subscriber information or share it with unrelated organisations for their own marketing.
Email delivery and hosting providers
The website is hosted by Hostinger. Email is delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES). These providers process the limited information needed to host the form and deliver the message on our behalf. Payment for the app is handled separately by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive or store your payment details.
How long we keep subscriber information
Active subscriber records are retained while you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails and retain a minimal suppression record so that we can respect your choice and avoid adding the address back to future mailings by mistake. Delivery and abuse-prevention records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate and protect the service.
Unsubscribing and your choices
Every bundle or marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. Using it immediately changes your status to unsubscribed. You can also contact us to ask what website information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or object to its use for direct marketing.
Children
The app is intended to be set up by a parent or guardian and collects no data. The website email form is for adults. Please do not enter a child’s email address or name into the subscriber form.
Security
Subscriber records are held in the protected WordPress database. Email service credentials are stored in server-only configuration and are not included in web pages, themes or downloadable files. No internet service is completely risk-free, but we limit what is collected and use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
